Services We Offer
Landlord Gas Certificates
As a landlord you are required by law to have ALL gas appliances within the dwelling checked annually. Gas appliances can be very dangerous and if not maintained or checked properly. Every year people die from carbon monoxide poisoning caused by incorrectly installed and maintained gas appliances. Many others also suffer ill health.
We offer a complete system service where not only the gas appliances are checked. Regular servicing can also pick up on smaller faults that unless detected can be very costly further down the line. Boiler breakdowns are an expensive business - in the winter months, demand for Gas Safe Registered Engineers is high and their service costs increase considerably.
There is nothing worse than not having heating in the winter or no hot water when required. Our engineers attend manufacturer courses throughout the year to keep up to date with the new products in an ever changing market. We offer a 24 hour call out service 365 days a year (FREEPHONE 08002 118 378)
If you suspect there is a gas leak or have been disconnected by Transco. We have the equipment to trace and repair any leak within the dwelling and get your appliances turned back on. View our gas safety tips on what to do if you believe you can smell gas.
We can install EVERY type of gas appliance whether it is a cooker or full central heating installation
We only use the market leaders that are proven for reliability
What is Energy Efficiency?
Energy efficiency is becoming a major part in our lives, and as a result the heating industry has changed dramatically.
Not only does this have a positive input on the climate change and co2 emissions it will also save you money!!!!
Boilers account for around 60 percent of all domestic co2 emissions. Using a high efficiency condensing boiler with heating controls could save you between £190 and £240 a year- whilst also significantly cutting your homes co2 emissions.
As of April 2006 the law changed and as a rule we can now only fit condensing boilers. However the market is vast and we at South East Gas Services only install top brand boilers that last!!!!
What Is A Condensing Boiler And How Do They Work?
A condensing boiler is a water heating device designed to recover energy normally discharged to the atmosphere through the flue. It can do this through the use of a secondary heat exchanger which most commonly uses residual heat in the flue gas to heat the cooler returning water stream or by having a primary heat exchanger with sufficient surface for condensing to easily take place. The best term for boilers designed to condense on the primary heat exchanger may be "fully condensing."
In a conventional non-condensing boiler, hot combustion gases from the burning of fuel heat water contained in a heat exchanger. The waste gases are still quite hot (180 °C-200 °C) and significant heat is lost to the atmosphere.
In a condensing boiler working at peak efficiency, the water vapour produced by the burning fuel in the boiler is condensed back into liquid water. Provided the returning water is sufficiently cool, the steam condenses to liquid water, hence the name condensing boiler. Some of the extra efficiency of the condensing boiler is due to the cooling of the exhaust gases, but the majority of the energy recovered is from the condensation of the water vapour
